English (or French) language courses do not meet the definition of a full-time study program, similar to those proposed in colleges or universities. Under the word “course”, we usually mean a short-term training, up to 6 months. Accordingly, no Study permit is required for language courses of programs.
Сitizens of visa-exempt countries arriving to Canada may simply select the language course, pay the tuition fee and start attending classes.
Citizens of countries, who require a visa (tourist, visitor, TRV) to enter Canada, must first apply for an appropriate visa to the Immigration service.
At the same time, they must show the proof of sufficient funds to pay for the tuition fee and living expenses in Canada, as well as their motivation to study the language overseas.
Taking into account that alternative courses are available not only in England and France, but also organized by educational institutions of Great Britain, USA, France in many European countries, receiving an entry visas to Canada with the purpose of learning a language requires serious background.
