{"id":2683,"date":"2015-09-15T07:07:15","date_gmt":"2015-09-15T04:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/immigratecan.ca\/?page_id=2683"},"modified":"2017-07-24T20:08:24","modified_gmt":"2017-07-24T17:08:24","slug":"immigraciya-v-provinciyu-ostrova-princa-eduarda","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/immigratecan.ca\/en\/vidy-immigracii\/immigraciya-v-provinciyu-ostrova-princa-eduarda\/","title":{"rendered":"PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">At this time,\u00a0priority will be given to entrepreneurs and\u00a0to individuals qualified to work\u00a0in areas with identified skill shortages in the PEI labour market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">PEI PNP includes the following streams:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Atlantic Immigration Pilot For Employers<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">For workers:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Critical Workers<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">PEI Express Entry<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Skilled Workers Outside Canada<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">International Graduates<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Skilled Workers on PEI<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">For Entrepreneurs<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Work Permit Stream<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">100% Ownership Stream<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Partial Ownership Stream<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">It is an employer-driven federal immigration pilot program designed to help employers fill permanent labour shortages and skill gaps in business by supporting foreign nationals for permanent residency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">There are three different streams which aim to address different needs:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Atlantic High Skilled Program <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Atlantic International Graduate Program <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Requirements to candidates<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Work <\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>experience<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Workers<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You must have worked at least one year (1,560 hours total\u00a0or\u00a030 hours per week) within the last three years. It can be full-time, non-continuous, or part-time, as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The work must be:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">in one occupation (but can be with different employers)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">paid (volunteering or unpaid internships do not count)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Workers apply as either\u00a0high-skilled workers\u00a0or\u00a0intermediate-skilled workers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">High-skilled workers\u00a0must have work experience at\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">NOC skill type\/level 0, A, or B<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Intermediate-skilled workers\u00a0must have work experience at\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">NOC skill level C<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">International graduates<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You do not need any work experience.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Education<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Workers<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You must have:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree,<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p10\"><span class=\"s1\">OR<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">a foreign degree, diploma, certificate, or trade or apprenticeship\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">education credential<\/span>. You need an\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report<\/span>\u00a0to make sure it is valid and equal to a Canadian credential.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">International<\/span> <span class=\"s1\">graduates<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p11\"><span class=\"s1\">You must have:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p12\"><span class=\"s1\">a minimum 2 year degree, diploma, certificate, or trade or apprenticeship credential from a\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">recognized publicly-funded institution<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s3\">in an Atlantic province<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p12\"><span class=\"s1\">been a full-time student in Canada for at least two years<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p12\"><span class=\"s1\">graduated in the last 12 months when you apply<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">lived in one of the Atlantic provinces for at least 16 months in the last 2 years before you graduated<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">had the visa or permit needed to work, study or train in Canada<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Your study or training program cannot be:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">English or French second language courses for more than half of the program, or<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">distance learning undertaken for more than half the length of the program.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p13\"><span class=\"s1\">You can\u2019t apply if you had a scholarship or fellowship requiring you to return to your home country after you graduate.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p11\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Job offer<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You must have a job offer that is:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">from a designated employer in an Atlantic province (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, or Prince Edward Island)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">full-time<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">non-seasonal<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">reviewed by the province (details on the endorsement process will be available in early March 2017)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">National Occupational Classification (NOC)<\/span>\u00a0and duration of the job offer depends on your application.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Job offers for\u00a0high-skilled workers\u00a0must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">be skill type\/level 0, A, or B<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">last at least one year<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Job offers for\u00a0intermediate-skilled\u00a0workers must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">be skill type\/level 0, A, B, or C<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">be indeterminate (permanent)<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Job offers for\u00a0international graduates\u00a0must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">be skill type\/level 0, A, B, or C<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">last at least one year<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">All candidates:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">need to meet employment requirements for the job you are offered. The requirements are listed in the\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">NOC<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Language<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">have at least a level four (4) in the Canadian Language Benchmarks in English or the Niveaux de comp\u00e9tence linguistique canadiens in French, and<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s6\">take an approved language test<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0that shows you meet the level for speaking, listening, reading and writing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Your results must be less than two years old when you apply.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Proof of funds<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You will need to\u00a0<span class=\"s3\">show that you have enough money<\/span>\u00a0to support yourself and your family after you immigrate. The amount you need depends on the size of your family and includes family members you support that are not immigrating with you.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">You do not need to show proof if you are already living and working in Canada with a valid work permit.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Requirements to Employers:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">To be eligible to participate in the Pilot you must be a designated employer.\u00a0 To become a designated employer you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Want to hire\u00a0<b>full-time, non-seasonal, international<\/b>\u00a0candidates<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Be in good standing with provincial and federal standards and legislation as per the\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">program guidelines<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Demonstrate your preparedness to receive and meet the settlement needs of international candidate(s) and accompanying family members, and agree to do so<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p16\"><span class=\"s1\">Understand and agree to the reporting requirements for the program<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Critical Workers<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">You can apply for a nomination for permanent residency through the Critical Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) if you are currently working in PEI.\u00a0 The PEI Critical Worker stream is employer-driven, allowing Island employers to fill low-skilled positions that they are unable to fill through the local job market.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">To be eligible to apply for the PEI Critical Worker stream you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Score at least 50 points on the\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">Labour Impact Self-Assessment<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a full-time, long-term (i.e. permanent or minimum of 2 years) job offer from a PEI employer in\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">NOC skill level C or D <\/span>\u00a0in one of the following occupations: truck driver, customer service representative, labourer, food and beverage server, or housekeeping attendant.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have worked a minimum of six months full-time for the PEI employer.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a valid work permit and legal status in Canada.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Be able to attend an interview at the Office of Immigration, if required.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess a minimum education of high-school equivalent.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Be between the ages of 21 and 59.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have at least two years of full-time work experience or relevant education in the past 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Provide a valid language test result obtained within the last 2 years.\u00a0 A minimum standard of Canadian Language Benchmark\/Niveaux de comp\u00e9tence linguistique canadiens 4 in each of the four categories (listening, reading, writing and speaking) is required.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have sufficient financial resources to pay all immigration costs (including travel expenses) for you and your family to be able to establish in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Demonstrate a genuine intention to settle in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>International Graduates<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">You can apply if you graduated from an accredited PEI post secondary institution and are currently working in PEI.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">To be eligible to apply for the PEI International Graduate stream you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Score at least 50 points on the\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">Labour Impact Self-Assessment<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a full-time long-term (i.e. permanent or minimum of 2 years) job offer from a PEI employer in\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">NOC skill level O, A, or B<\/span><span class=\"s8\">(link is external)<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have worked a minimum of six months for the PEI employer.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a valid post-graduate work permit and legal status ages of 21 and 59.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess sufficient English and\/or French language ability to perform the job offered.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have sufficient financial resources to pay all immigration costs (including travel expenses) for you and your family to be able to establish in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Demonstrate a genuine intention to settle in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>PEI Express Entry<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">Your nomination through PEI PNP will increase your chance of being issued an\u00a0<b>Invitation to Apply<\/b>\u00a0from the Federal Government.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">To be eligible for nomination through PEI Express Entry, you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">meet the requirements of at least one of the Federal Economic Immigration programs:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Federal Skilled Worker Program;<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Federal Skilled Trades Program; or<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Canadian Experience Class<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p16\"><span class=\"s1\">create a Federal Express Entry Profile and be placed in the pool of candidates.\u00a0 You required.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have successfully completed a post secondary degree or diploma (minimum 2 year program).<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Be between the ages of 21 and 59.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have at least two years of full-time work experience in the past 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Possess sufficient English and\/or French language ability to perform the job offered.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have sufficient financial resources to pay all immigration costs (including travel expenses) for you and your family to be able to establish in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Demonstrate a genuine intention to settle in PEI.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s6\"><b>Immigrate to PEI as an Entrepreneur <\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>100% Ownership Stream and Partial Ownership Stream<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">This streams are for foreign nationals with extensive management or business-ownership experience who would like to own and operate their own business in PEI (100% Ownership stream) or to invest in and participate in the management of a PEI business (Partial Ownership stream).<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\"> To be eligible for nomination through the 100% Ownership stream or Partial Ownership stream you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Score a minimum of 50 points on the\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">self-assessment<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a minimum verifiable personal net worth of $600,000 which has been accumulated through legal and legitimate sources in your own right.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have a minimum education of high school equivalent.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Be within 21-59 years of age at the time of application.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Have transferable management skills and past employment or business-ownership experience.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Meet minimum language requirements equivalent to a band score of 4.0 on an\u00a0IELTS test.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Intend to live and work in PEI and provide day-to-day active and ongoing management of your company from PEI or a PEI-based company for Partial Ownership Stream.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Attend an interview with staff from the Office of Immigration.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Sign an escrow agreement with the Province and submit a $200,000 deposit, which will be refunded upon you meeting the terms and conditions of the escrow agreement.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Work Permit Stream<\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">This stream is for foreign nationals with extensive management or business-ownership experience who would like to move to PEI on a temporary basis to start their business, and eventually become a permanent resident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p17\"><span class=\"s1\">To be eligible for nomination through the Work Permit stream you must:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span class=\"s1\">Score a minimum of 50 points on the\u00a0<span class=\"s7\">self-assessment<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p15\"><span
