
CANADIAN FESIVALS
Canada is one of those countries considered multinational. That is why an incredible number of different festivals, celebrations and events are held here every year. On the first day of the New Year, every Canadian can participate in winter swimming event called the NewYear`s Day Polar Bear Swim. Then, the “Chinese New Year” is also celebrateted by all citizens of the country. The most spectacular celebrations are held in Vancouver and in the capital of Canada.
The traditional International Dragon Boat Festival, which is held in June in British Columbia, is also considered quite popular. The festival lasts three days and is attended by about 2 thousand racers and hundreds of thousands of spectators. The summer air show called Abbotsford International Air Show gathers no less spectators. The largest carnival in Canada is considered to be the Winter Carnival, which is carried out in Quebec. It takes place every winter. Initially, it was invented by families of a neighbourhood to somehow entertain their children during gray and cold winter evenings. It is a real pleasure to observe Canada during the celebration of one of its festivals.
