
PROVINCE OF ONTARIO
The province of Ontario is the most populous and the second largest province in Canada. It is the main tourist center of the country. The capital of the province is the city of Toronto. The capital of Canada (Ottawa) is also located in Ontario. English is the main language of the province. Both English and French enjoy official status. Ontario is bordered by the provinces of Quebec (east), Manitoba (west), as well as several US states: Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
The main attractions of the province are Niagara Falls, Lake Huron, as well as the longest street in the world called Yonge Street, which begins near the shore of Lake Ontario and goes right up to the border with the province of Manitoba. The province is known for its huge stadium, the Sky Dome. This building is unique for its height, as it rises to 86 meters. The stadium hosts numerous sporting events, musical concerts and big sales exibitions. Sky Dome is known as the home stadium of “Toronto Argonauts”, football team a member of the Canadian Football League.
